Fall Hunters Rendezvous coming up
Courtesy Photo This year's Cancer Run was to benefit local boy Jake Hardin. Hundreds of local bikers and friends rode in to lend a helping hand to this brave boy. It's nearly time for the 25th annual Fall Hunters Rendezvous. This event, presented by the Henderson County Wildlife Committee, will take place Thursday, October 9, at Henderson County Fair Park.
A day of fun is waiting for the whole family, and the fun starts with free admission. It's a great way to spend the evening, and the program goes from 5:30-9:30 pm.
At 6 is the food plot prep, which leads into 7 pm's field dressing event. There's even a live demonstration showing people how to process a deer.
Sausage making is the name of the game at 8 pm. Though this is the last time-sensitive item on the agenda, there are more activities to partake in at the rendezvous.
There's a turkey shoot and bow shoot for the youth and adults, and deer scoring, rifle cleaning, bow setup and tuning and even a barbecue dinner. Finally, there will be a shotgun, rifle and pistol raffle.
