Brownsboro Elementary receives donation from Target
      As part of the September Take Charge of Education donation, Target is awarding Brownsboro Elementary with a check for $91.00. This payout is a direct result of the parents, teachers and school supporters who participate in the program, which has earned this school $2,159.09 since 1997.

Brownsboro student Clinton Cooper receives TSCPA scholarship
      Clinton J. Cooper of Brownsboro has been chosen by the East Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants as a 2008- 2009 scholarship recipient. He is the son of Cheryl and Cliff Cooper of Ben Wheeler, Texas.

CHANDLER CHATTER
      The 2008-2009 school year has begun. We would like to welcome our new staff: Ms. Ellis, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Hauser, Mr. Hauser, and Mrs. Walker. Our character word for the month is `Responsibility. " Responsibility means always doing your best, using self-control and following the rules. We will give out prizes to the students who are caught being responsible.

Chandler Elementary Balloon Release held in honor of Homecoming Week
     The Chandler Elementary School Balloon Release was on September 17 in honor of homecoming week. This is an annual fund raiser where students were able to purchase balloons for $1 to be released. This supports the student activity fund. The school had a mini pep rally provided by the Brownsboro Junior High Cheerleaders. About 1,400 balloons were sold, and the students enjoyed the balloon release and showed school spirit. The balloons made it all the way to Henderson.
