Junior Varsity Bears beat Rains 16-6

The junior varsity welcomed the Rains Wildcats, Thursday, September 25, at the Bears Stadium. The Bears won 16-6.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Wildcats fumbled the punt and the Bears recovered.

The Wildcats scored a touchdown with 2:44 left in the first half. Rains was unable to get the two-point conversion and the score was 6-0.

Deandrea Taylor ran into the endzone from the Wildcats 3-yard line, but the Bears were given a 15 yard penalty for a personal foul.

The second quarter ended 6-0.

Both junior varsity teams were unable to score in the third quarter.

Ending the fourth quarter, Bears stepped it up and came out with the win 16-6.

This week the Bears have an open week, but will host the Palestine Westwood Panthers, Thursday, October 9.
