Bro. Tom began speaking to us Sunday about the passions of God. So many things seem to make us lose our passion for a Christ-like walk. He spoke to us first about getting our lives out of balance by spending too much time on one area of our Christian walk. If we focus too much time on one thing, something else suffers. He also preached to us about over-scheduling our days and leaving that crucial time with God out. He will be continuing this series next week. We invite you to attend and know that you will be blessed.

The next Women Encouraging Women meeting will be Tuesday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. We encourage all women to attend this wonderful time of fellowship. You will ber glad that you did. There will also be a women's fall retreat at Timberline Baptist Encampment November 7 and 8th. Please see Gloria if you would like more details.

The next Men's Breakfast will be Saturday, October 18th at 8am. The men enjoy a home-cooked meal and a devotion time one Saturday each month. Bro. Andy Wood will be speaking. Please make plans to attend. You will be glad that you did.

We will be having our Fall Festival and Stew Supper Saturday, October 25th. There will be booths for the young children and costumes (friendly, please) are welcomed! We always have a great time at the Fall Festival -- it will begin at 5pm that day. We will also have a fellowship, including stew and other fixins'. This is a favorite of the young and young at heart. There will be a cake auction after the supper, with the proceeds going into our Camp Fund. We need donations of cakes and goodies, as well as bidders for the goodies. For more info, please see Angie Parker.

Following the Stew Supper, there will be a hayride for the young people. We will have a hayride for both the elementary ages and the youth group. If you would like to help with this, please talk with Andy Wood.

The Call to Recovery Meeting is held each Monday evening at 7pm. In conjunction with this, there is a live radio show each Saturday night at 9pm on 90.3 KBJS. Bro. Dan Hosch is the host of both the Call to Recovery Meeting and the radio show. Please pray for this ministry that is growing rapidly. If you are interested in helping, please talk to Bro. Dan. He will be happy to answer any questions that you have.

We have lots of birthdays this week.

Happy birthday to Sherri Chambers, Clark Epperson, and Linda Moore.

We wish a happy anniversary to Lance and Connie Owen. Have a great week and remember that God wants us to be passionate about Him.
