Elva Medlock

Services for Elva Mannings Medlock, 94, Chandler were held Saturday at Ernest S. Sterling Memorial Chapel, Brooks- Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler, with the Rev. Willie C. Beasley officiating.

Burial was in Chandler Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Medlock died September 27, 2008, in Tyler.

She was born December 29, 1913, in Chandler to the late Steve and Carrie Drawhorn Mannings. She attended Emmett J. Scott High School, was a homemaker and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jewel Williams and Elzie "Buster" Medlock.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Williams, Chandler; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
