This past Sunday we were blessed with a great message about our relationship with the Lord. Brother Tom challenged us by preaching from the famous verse John 3:16, breaking it down and stating each phrase in a clearer way.

A new addition has been added to our church family. Jeremy Miller, a junior at Brownsboro High School, was baptized Sunday morning by Bro. Tom. We are very happy to see our youth group growing and that Jeremy is now a part of the fun.

This past Saturday night, October 25th, we had our annual Fall Festival and Stew Supper. We had a great turnout at both events. The children seemed to have a blast! Just the thought of dressing up and getting candy by playing games was tremendously awesome. The costume contest was interesting as usual. The Stew Supper is always a great time for fellowship, and this year was no different. The stew was great as always, but the fellowship is what makes our church a true church family. We appreciate all of the people who attended our Fall Festival and Stew Supper. We also want to thank all of the women and men who took the time and effort to prepare the activities, and everyone who participated in our costume contest.

Our 4th Sunday singing was held this past Sunday, reminding us really how much talent we have here at Leagueville Baptist Church. We want to thank all who participated; each was such a blessing to everyone.

Women Encouraging Women will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the women's center. Beverly Parker will be giving the devotion. Please see Gloria Hosch for more information. This is always a great time to fellowship with the women of our church. We encourage you to attend and know that you will be blessed.

The Good-Timers will be having their Thanksgiving fellowship on November 20th. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. This looks like it will be a good old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner. Please make plans to attend. Good-Timers also need to mark their calendars to go on a fellowship trip to 7-B Restaurant for their Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 9th.
