Services for Clayton Wyatt McKinney, 81, Murchison, were held Tuesday at Eubank Funeral Home chapel, Canton, with Bro. Roy Wayne officiating. Burial was in Haven of Memories Cemetery, Canton.

Mr. McKinney died October 25, 2008, in Tyler.

He was born December 11, 1926, in Windom to the late Jonathan Clayton McKinney and Ethel DeJarnatt. He served in the Army for four years and the Merchant Marine for 14 years. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Edom and served on the board of directors for Callender Lake for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Clara M. Wood McKinney, Murchison; sons, Jerry Wood, Mesquite, and Richard Wood, Murchison; three grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and cousins.
