A BIRTHDAY WISH FOR YOU, SWEETHEART
No. words are needed here my dear, For you to know what is on my mind. Just close your eyes for a little while, And the birthday wish I'm sure you'll find. by Thomas Howard, to his wife.DON'T FORGET TO PRAY
When you woke up this morning About to face the day, Did you say, "Thank you, Jesus." Did you forget to pray? We were not promised this beautiful day, Just life eternally. So live it pleasing to Jesus And treat it tenderly. The death angel may call for you Before the Lord does come. Be sure you have your life prepared To go with either one. The trip can be so beautiful When you climb those golden stairs And step out on those streets of gold, That God has gone to prepare. We'll see our friends and loved ones Whom God has called ahead. We'll shake their hands in joy and love; That's what the Good Book said. It tells us to hold steadfast And never let our mind Stray away from Jesus, Or Satan you might find. He'll make your life miserable, Your days and nights alike. His grip is strong and powerful. He strikes with all his might. So, friend, get right with Jesus, And give Him full control Of everything around you, But most of all your soul. He'll comfort you through anything That may step in your way. Thank Him every day for life, And don't forget to pray. by Mildred BurnesFINDING HAPPINESS
