Brownsboro falls to Waco La Vega
      What seemed like a promising game for the Bears in the beginning, with Brownsboro taking the lead in the first quarter and proving why they made it to the playoffs in the first place, it quickly diminished when Waco La Vega's defense got a second wind.

Varsity Bearettes trample on Winona
      The Varsity Bearettes hosted Winona's Lady Wildcats Friday, November 14, but quickly sent them on their way back home with a final score of 47-18, Brownsboro. The Bearette's Sabrina Bradley opened up the first quarter along with Lacandace Bell and Hillary Shaffer adding with two pairs of free throws.

      Apparently this young boy from East Texas has had some recent target practice. John "ButterBean" Crow shot his first deer on Sunday, November 2, 2008. This young sharp-shooter is only a too cute four years old and lives in Edom.

Carl Edwards wins but Jimmie Johnson makes the record books
      Jimmie Johnson, up by 69- points, not only won the 2008 Sprint Cup Championship, but he has made the record books, along with Carl Yarborough, by winning his third consecutive championship title. Carl Edwards, however, celebrated in victory lane after tallying up 72-points in the finale, Sunday, November 16, at Homestead Miami Speedway for the Ford 400.

Freshman Bearettes beat Frankston
      It was a close call when the freshman Bearettes played against Frankston's Lady Indians, Friday, November 14. The Lady Indians kept a close lead up until the fourth quarter. Both teams then tied 24- 24 with only 3:17 left to play. Bearette Sierra snapped the tie when she scored two-points with 1:38 left on the clock. The game ended 29-26, Brownsboro.
