Services for Kevin Walker, 33, Athens, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Blackjack community with the Rev. Jaime Clark-Soles, Travis Cox and Teri Walker officiating.

Burial was in Blackjack Cemetery under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.

Mr. Walker died November 16, 2008 in a Dallas hospital.

He was born March 9, 1975, in Athens to Woodrow Harvey and Neva Gail Baker Walker. He graduated from Brownsboro High School, attended Texas A&M University and Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. He taught at St. Anthony School in Dallas for seven years, moved to Athens two years ago and worked for Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Survivors include his parents, Woodrow and Neva Walker; brother, Harvey Lynn Walker, Athens; one nephew; four nieces; and other relatives.
