Funeral services for Jonathan A. Williams, 20, of Austin, formerly of Brownsboro were held Friday at the Leagueville Baptist Church.

Burial followed at the Oaklawn Memorial Park of Athens. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens.

Jonathan was born on October 4, 1988 in Palmdale, California and moved to Henderson County in 1992. He was a graduate of the Brownsboro Class of 2007. He enjoyed many forms of sporting events, including baseball, basketball, ice hockey and football. After graduating he moved to Austin to live with his brothers. He loved music, was an accomplished guitar player and was a member of the band "The Blinds."

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Williams in 2002. He is survived by his parents, David and Ada Williams of Chandler; brothers, Christopher and Joshua Williams of Austin; paternal grandmother, Martha Jane Williams of Porter, Texas; maternal grandparents, Aurora and Juan Rodriguez of McAllen, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
