Come visit with Santa at Parkside Shores Saturday, December 13. A parade will start at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Ham lunch with all the trimmings for a donation only. At approximately 1:30pm. Santa will be handing out gifts and visiting with all the children. Festivities will also include a Christmas tree lighting and singing of Carols. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there.

Christmas is coming soon and Brookshires Grocery in Chandler will be collecting Letters For Santa. A special mailbox has been set up for Christmas wishes for all of the community's youngsters. Letters posted by Sunday, December 14 will be delivered to the Statesman for publishing and then forwarded to the North Pole before Santa's sleigh packing deadline.
Call to Recovery, a 12-step program, gathers every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Leagueville Baptist Church.

Lake Palestine United Methodist Church has collected the best recipes from group members, family, and friends and compiled them into an attractive, keepsake cookbook. The cookbooks may be purchased from any church member, or at the church. All proceeds will go to the Angel Food Trailer Fund. The cookbook contains 357 recipes.
