Odis Laymance

Services for Odis Laymance, 90, of Brownsboro, Texas, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at First Assembly of God-Brownsboro with Bro. Wes Bynum officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial was in Rock Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, Texas.

Mr. Laymance passed away December 8, 2008 in Tyler, Texas. He was born November 5, 1918 in Brownsboro, to Andrew Jackson and Mary Omie Simmons Laymance.

He was a lifelong resident of Brownsboro and attended the Brownsboro First Assembly of God Church. He retired from Kelly Springfield, enjoyed fishing and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Odis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille Laymance, two sons, James and Dewayne Laymance, two sisters, JeWell Yoyels, and Clara Laymance.

Surviving are: four daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Tedford, Brownsboro, Marilyn and Clint Patin of Montalba, Linda and Bill Walker of Brownsboro, Brenda and Hank Robinson of Frankston; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Jimmie Laymance and Stanley and Sheila Laymance, all of Brownsboro; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; 4 step-greatgreat grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Hazel Laymance of Brownsboro.

Pallbearers were Barry Tedford, Tony Prater, Marvin Walker, Andy Walker, Kevin Laymance, and Brian Laymance.

Honorary pallbearers were Cpl. Samuel Laymance, Scotty Laymance and Joshua Gilbert.

Family received friends Wednesday, 6-8 p.m.
