Services for Louise Chamness, 88, Chandler, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dean Baptist Church with the Rev. David Wallace officiating.

Burial was in Dean Cemetery under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Chamness died December 8, 2008 in Chandler.

She was born May 31, 1920, in Canton to the late R.C. and Kate Foster Crabtree. She lived in Tyler for 60 years, was a homemaker and a member of Dean Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Virgil Chamness Sr.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Chamness, Athens; daughters, Katie Looney, Mineola, Sue Hedges, Lufkin, and Anita Gullatt, Lindale; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
