Services for Dayle Wayne Hill, 78, Tyler, were held Friday at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home chapel.

Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery near Murchison, Texas, under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Hill passed away December 7, 2008 in Tyler, Texas.

He was born November 6, 1930 in Brownsboro, Texas. He lived in the Tyler area for approximately eleven and one-half years, was a Protestant and worked as a painter. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Menifee.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Hill of Tyler; sons, Michael Wayne Hill of Portsmouth, Virginia, William James Hill of Sparks, Nevada, and step-son, John Ford Ackerman of Placentia, California; daughters, Vickie Lynn Pieper of Westminster, California, Virginia Ann Roybal of Victorville, California, and step-daughter, Louise June DeHart of Placentia, California; sisters, Frances Lucille Nelson of Richardson and Joyce Lavada Palmer of Bryan; 12 grandchildren; and 3 greatgrandchildren.
