We hope you all had a very merry Christmas and are looking forward to an exciting and prosperous New Year. While the Christmas festivities have been inspirational and fun at the church this year, we are all looking forward to what God has in store in the coming year.

This past Sunday proved to be a musical one in the 11 AM service. Specials were performed by Diane Kelder, Herb Botts and Gail Johnston and Susan Romo. All of them did a terrific job.

Also, we want to congratulate little Landon Robert Sullivan on his baptism on Sunday. He is the first one to get to use the new baptismal font given to the church in honor of Dr. Gary Fitzgerald, Mavis Griffith and in memory of Margie Jordan.

In the afternoon on Sunday several church members gathered to do a little more Christmas caroling. Going out once is not enough for some people.

On Saturday night was the annual church Christmas party which was attended by a very large crowd, including Santa Claus. Every child there received a gift from him, and so did Rev. Richard and Rebecca Prather.

Debbie Morris, Debbie Bernard and Ann Blackmon took a trip to Dallas this past weekend where they visited the King Tut exhibit at the Dallas Museum, and then they attended a concert in the evening and on Sunday, they attended a Dallas church.

Bill Martin was in church Sunday and reported that Joyce is doing very well and got a good report from the doctor. She should be able to be up and around in about two weeks.

We want to thank Rich Franko for making some DVD/CDs of our Children's Christmas program and the adult Christmas Cantata. They are available for a donation to the Projector Fund.

Mary Ann and Dale Whisenhunt were happy to have Erica visiting them this week. Her husband will be down from Arkansas later this week.

Also, Roland and Gail Massey are entertaining Marissa and her mom this week. They were up here for the annual Massey Christmas gathering last week.

We hear that Bernard and Linda will be back around the first of the year, but they will probably not be alone. Their little grandsons will be with them. We can't wait to see them.

Ruby Simon is doing very well after her surgery.

Melody Rogers is also slowly recuperating from her fall in the garage a couple of weeks ago. It takes a while to get over that stiffness.

We are also praying for Pauline Johnson's leg to feel better. Many of the church families will be entertaining family or traveling during the next couple of weeks. Our prayers will be with them.
