Freshman Bearettes
      Improving to 7-7 on the season the Freshman Bearettes defeated LaPoyner 38-17. Tiffany Hurd led the Bearettes in scoring with 12 points. Brownsboro shutout the Lady Flyers in the third period while scoring 13 points.

      The start of district play is always important, but Friday night's game against Van will carry added significance for the Brownsboro Bearettes. Brownsboro will enter District 14-3A play with a record of 16-5, three more wins than the Bearettes had all of last season.

      On Monday, December 24 the All-Henderson County Area Football team was announced by the Athens Daily Review. Two Brownsboro Bears earned superlative awards on the annual list as Brownsboro was the only school to have two spots in the superlative awards.

      The 17th annual Kaufman Holiday Classic was a tournament the Brownsboro Bears would like to forget. While the complete results from the tournament were not available as of press time Monday, the Bears lost two of three games played in pool play.
