Bennett seeking re-election

Henderson County District Attorney Donna Bennett
Henderson County District Attorney Donna Bennett has announced that she will seek another term in the March 4, 2008 Republican Primary. Bennett has been District Attorney since her victory in the 1994 general election.

Bennett said one goal during a new term would be to continue to work with the Drug Enforcement Unit and the other police agencies in the county to combat our methamphetamine problem. "I am proud to tell you they have been effective in closing down most of the drug labs that have produced meth in our county. However, our battle continues as we prosecute the dealers and rehabilitate the users," Bennett said.

Bennett stressed her legal experience in announcing for re-election. She has over twenty years experience as a prosecutor and is board certified by the State Bar of Texas in criminal law. Bennett has served as Henderson County District Attorney for the past thirteen years and is proud of the strong staff she has put in place to prosecute crime in Henderson County.
