Another sign that the Chandler Brownsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is growing and always thinking about the community is the upcoming CBACC Banquet.

The Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 7 at 6:30pm in the Chandler Community Center.

This year the CBACC is proud to bring Dallas Cowboys football reporter Ray Stone as the guest speaker.

Stone is entering his 34th season as the producer of the `Cowboys football report', a daily syndicated talk and interview show that airs on over 190 radio stations in five states including local station KKUS 104.1.

Over the past 20 years Stone has traveled throughout the southwest speaking on the humorous side of the Dallas Cowboys. On February 7 he will be telling yarns about Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith and more Cowboy legends.

There will be several Dallas Cowboys autographed items up for bid in the annual CBACC auction.

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Tom Landry said "Ray, I fully endorse both your speaking on the Dallas Cowboys and your five state Cowboys football report. Your relationship with the players and our coaching staff, and your overall knowledge of the Cowboy organization, places you in a position to entertain your audience, both on radio and the banquet circuit."

On Friday, February 8, Stone will speak to business members of the CBACC on rural economic growth. The workshop will begin at 8:00am with a breakfast before Stone will speak for about 35 minutes on keeping the shoppers at home.

Mr. Stone is a passionate advocate of community involvement and shopping at home. He feels that everyone must be sold on their community and must support the local businesses to insure their community's survival, health, growth and quality of life.

All businesses that are a part of the CBACC are invited to attend the free workshop with Mr. Ray Stone.

Tickets to the CBACC banquet on Thursday, February 7 are $15 and can be purchased at the Chamber office, Chandler City Hall and Smiley Insurance in Brownsboro. The meal will be catered by El Presidente of Brownsboro.

Inside the paper there is a nomination form for the annual awards given at the banquet.

If any local businesses would like to donate to the silent auction please contact the Chamber office.
