Pvt. Dusty Wayne Mayer and Kathryn Louise Mumaw were wed December 20, 2007, in Athens, Texas.

Dusty is the son of Donnie Mayer of Chandler, Texas He is a graduate of Brownsboro High School. He is serving in the US Army, currently stationed at Schweinfurt Air Base in Germany.

Kathryn is the daughter of Connie Turner of Hideaway, Texas. She is a graduate of Lindale High School. She will join her husband in a few months.
