Henderson County court activity

District Attorney, Donna R. Bennett, reports the following Court activity for the weeks of December 3, 2007 through December 31, 2007:

Oscar Lopez, 21, of Athens, pled guilty to the Class B Misdemeanor offense of Tampering with Government Records. The Court assessed punishment at one (1) day confinement in the Henderson County Jail, $500 fine and court costs.

Jana Denis Hazelip, AKA: Jana Denise Harris, 40, of Gun Barrel, pled guilty to the Class C Misdemeanor offense of Contraband in a Correctional Facility. The Court assessed punishment at $500 fine, court costs and attorney fees.

Gabriel Lee Hobbs, 30, of Amarillo, pled guilty to the third degree felony offense of Harassment of a Public Servant. The Court assesses punishment at five (5) years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice probated four (4) years, $500 fine, court costs, attorney fees, AA/NA, $50 to local Crime Stoppers, urinalysis, obtain GED, 280 hours community service, attend substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment.

Billy James Owens, 47, of Canton pled true to counts 1-8 contained in the State's Motion to Revoke Community Supervision. The Court assessed punishment at eleven (11) months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, previous fine, court costs, restitution, and new court costs.

Patrick Thomas Atkinson, 47, of Sherman, pled guilty to a seconddegree felony offense. The Court assessed punishment at five (5) years deferred adjudication probation, $1000 fine, court costs, attorney fees, AA/NA, urinalysis, 700 hours community service, obtain a GED, $50 to local Crime Stopper Program, attend Anger Management Class, substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment.

Mandi Rachelle Throneberry, 24, of Athens, pled guilty to a second degree felony offense of Possession of Controlled Substance. The Court assessed punishment at five (5) years deferred adjudication probation, $1000 fine, court costs, attorney fees, $140 restitution, AA/ NA, urinalysis, 180 days confinement in the Henderson County Jailsuspended, obtain a GED, $50 to Crime Stopper Program, substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment, attend the drug offender education program.

Herman Lindon Rogers, III, 25, of Athens, pled guilty to a third degree felony offense of Assault on a Family Member/Prior Assault. The Court assessed punishment at two (2) years deferred adjudication probation, $500 fine, court costs, urinalysis, 200 hours community service, obtain a GED, $50 to local Crime Stopper Program, attend the Anger Management Class, substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment.

Aimie Lyn Vargas, 36, of Athens, pled guilty to a state jail felony offense of Evading Arrest. The Court assessed punishment at twenty two (22) months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, court costs and attorney fees.

Jose Alberto Elizondo, 45, of Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee, pled true to counts 1,2, 4,5,6 & 7 in a state's Motion to Revoke community supervision. The Court assessed punishment at ten (10) months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, attorney fees, court costs and restitution.

Tony Richard Rasha, 25, of Mabank, pled true to all counts contained in a state's Motion to Revoke community supervision. The Court assessed punishment at six (6) months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, previous attorney fees and court costs, plus new attorney fees and court costs.

Jack Anthony Sales, 39, of Temple, was found guilty to Burglary of Habitation. The

Court assessed punishment at ten (10) year deferred adjudication probation, fine, attorney fees, court costs, $50 Crime Stoppers, urinalysis, SASSI, 600 hours community service and Anger Management class.

Mark Edward Ford, 47, of Mabank, pled guilty to a third degree felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated. The Court assessed punishment at eight (8) years probated four (4) years, fine, court costs, AA/NA, $50 Crime Stoppers, GED, victim impanel panel, 300 hours community service, install interlock device, repeat Offenders Program, complete substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment, 180 drivers license suspension and ten (10) days in the Henderson County Jail.

Tammy Lyn Snow, 40, of Lovelady, Texas, pled true to counts 2,3,6,7,8 and 9 of the State's Motion to Revoke community supervision. The Court assessed punishment at three (3) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, previous attorney fees, court costs and restitution and new attorney fees, court costs and restitution.

Sarah C. English, 33, of Mabank, pled guilty to a state jail felony offense of Forgery Financial Instrument. The Court assessed punishment at two (2) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, probated five (5) years, fine, court costs, attorney fees, $50 Crime Stoppers, obtain GED and restitution. Other cases considered and to run concurrent.

Kenneth Earl Vess II, 22, of Mesquite, pled guilty to a first-degree felony offense of Aggravated Robbery. The Court assessed punishment at fifteen (15) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, attorney fees and court costs.

James Aaron George, 45, of Athens, pled guilty to a plea on information for the State Jail felony offense of Criminal Mischief Over $1,500. The Court assessed punishment at four (4) years deferred adjudication probation, $500 fine, attorney fees, court costs, AA/NA, $50 to local Crime Stoppers, urinalysis, obtain GED, attend Anger Management class, 280 hours community service, restitution, attend substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment.

Jessica Mosley Gonzales, 27, of Gun Barrel, pled guilty to a plea on information for the State Jail felony offense of Possession of Controlled Substance. The Court assessed punishment at three (3) years deferred adjudication probation, $750 fine, court costs, attorney fees, AA/ NA, $50 to local Crime Stoppers, urinalysis, obtain GED, 300 hours community service, restitution, drug offender program, attend substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment.
