UT Tyler honors local students

Eight Chandler area residents are among 340 students named to the Dean's List for the 2007 fall semester at The University of Texas at Tyler.

Chandler area residents are:

Brownsboro - Julie Rounsavall and Lauren Williams.

Chandler - Denise Davis, Callie Stanton and Elwyn Welch.

Larue - John Evans and Laurel Young.

Murchison - Zachary Hubl.

To be named to the Dean's List at UT Tyler, a student must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours at the university with a grade point average of 3.75.

One of the 15 campuses of the UT System, UT Tyler offers excellence in teaching, research, artistic performance and community service. More than 70 undergraduate and graduate degrees are available at UT Tyler, which has an enrollment of more than 6,000 high-ability students at its campuses in Tyler, Longview and Palestine.

Six Chandler area residents are among 287 students named to the President's Honor Roll for the 2007 fall semester at The University of Texas at Tyler.

Chandler area residents, listed by hometown, are:

Ben Wheeler - Nathan John Bailey and Jamey Ann Jackson.

Brownsboro - Lindsay Megan Owen.

Chandler - Megan A. Epperson and Kimberly Dyan Sober.

Murchison - Leslie Camille King.

To be named to the President's Honor Roll at UT Tyler, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester credit hours with grades of "A" in all courses that carry points.
