Chandler F.U.M.C.
by Linda G. Keeling

"Wait! Don't do anything yet -- hurt neither earth nor sea nor trees -- until we have placed the Seal of God upon the foreheads of his servants. " Revelation 7:3

Have you seen the film The Inconvenient Truth? The library has a DVD you can check out for free. You don't have to be a "tree hugger" or believe in global warming to feel the impact of the changing environment. It is a devastating vision of the destruction the earth God has entrusted to us. How much is natural cyclical changes or man-made, is up to personal opinion. However the speed in which the changes are occurring should be a concern to us all. The next generation will be living in a different world than we currently experience. For that reason, we as Christians should be informed on the issues that contribute to these changes. "The Lord's wisdom founded the earth; his understanding established all the universe and space." (Proverbs 3:19). Let us pray as a nation that our leaders will strive for wisdom in protecting our earth and environment.

Looking for a new church home? Come join the Bible study classes to be held by Dr. and Carol Munch. The best way to meet friends is to study the Word together.

Remember Carol Munch's Bible study for ladies on Beth Moore's encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will start January 28th at 6:30-8:00pm. The study examines the fascinating details from the lives of these patriarchs and explores important concepts such as blessings, covenant and promise that shaped their lives and continues to us today. The textbook is $20 and can be ordered through the church office.

Dr. Munch will be leading a Bible study for men in "The Man God Uses" by Henry Blackaby. This study focuses on the scriptural view of strengthening faith as a man of God. This text also will cost $20. These studies will be a wonderful opportunity for studyng the Word and getting to know our Pastor and wife in a more personal way.
