Brownsboro F.U.M.C. Bro. Ernest and I would like to thank our church and community family for their prayers, visits, calls, cards and the beautiful plant during his illness. He's 100 percent better, but not a 100 percent well. During his time down we celebrated his birthday (don't tell, but he's 60 now). I'm not sure where the years have gone but God has blessed us both. I know I've mentioned this before, but have you ever wondered if you being in your pew really meant anything? Several of our church family were out Sunday. We missed them all, and yes, they all count and so do you. Some were out due to this terrible cold/flu/pneumonia season, some due to recovering from physical ailments. We had those out of town, but I'm sure some got up and just did not feel like getting ready and going. All are missed and I know of some who will never be physically able to return; each would give anything to be able to have the opportunity to get up and be able to worship in the church. Please think about it on those Sundays you feel lazy and don't want to go, remember those who aren't feeling lazy but literally are unable to come due to health reasons. They would change places with you in a heartbeat. If you're ill then we pray for healing of mind, body and spirit. If you're in need of a loving church, feel free to join us. Our church is moving on, and as Ernest's sermon mentioned of W. Churchill's shortest speech ever given, we will "never, never, never give up" on God, our families, and those in need. God bless. |
