I'm So Glad He Loved Us
Chorus:
I'm so glad He loved us,
I'm so glad He loved us,
I'm so glad He loved us,
That He gave us His only Son.
Verse 1:
Jesus is the grace He gave
Shed upon our hearts;
Giving unto all men
The redemption of the cr-o-o-o-os.
Verse 2:
Unto us a Child was born,
Unto us a Savior,
Jesus is the only door
And the truth and the w-a-a-a-ay.
Verse 3:
Open up your heart to Him.
Let Him enter in.
He'll give you eternal life
And set you free from s-i-i-i-i-in.
-Song by Diane Desselles and Thomas Howard

THE SPINNING WHEEL
Gathering dust in the corner
Where only few shadows are cast,
The old spinning wheel sits idle now,
No longer useful as in days of the past.
But still, it's a treasured possession.
The polished wood of the treadle
Worn to the shape of Great-Grandma's toe.
Evidence of the hours she'd sit and pedal
As she worked in the dim lamp light;
Spinning the flax and wool into thread,
To weave into cloth for their clothes,
And linens for their table and bed.
Just picture her there in the evenings
By the side of the old fireplace,
Humming along with the whirring wheel
As her nimble fingers kept pace.
Though it may be a useless old relic,
Taking up space and often in the way,
It's our link to ones who've gone before,
And a bridge between us and yesterday.

What You See is Not What You Get
Someone who is a good person on the outside
Can be a bad person on the inside.
Skunks are cute when you see them,
But there is a stinker inside.
The world looks beautiful from space,
`Til you see the evil that is in it.
The wages of sin are death,
But salvation came through death.
