A Sunday School youngster kept informing his teacher that he was going to get a baby brother. One day his expectant mother permitted him to place his hand on her stomach to feel the movement of the unborn child. After that the boy didn't talk about the expected arrival any longer, until one day his Sunday School teacher inquired, "Whatever happened to that baby brother you were supposed to get?" The fiveyear old's face saddened, "I think Mommy ate him," he replied.

You will hear almost anything in Sunday School, yet Sunday School is important!!

Do you realize how important the Sunday School really is?? The following figures present a general picture of most Sunday Schools.

75% of all church members come from the Sunday School.

85% of all church workers come from the Sunday School.

95% of all pastors come from the Sunday School.

BUT:

60% of all grade school children do not attend Sunday School.

80% of all high school youth do not attend Sunday School.

90% of all college youth do not attend Sunday School.

What a golden opportunity with a mission field at our back door!

Also, did you know that somewhere between 75% and 90% of all visitors to a church are there because friends, relatives or neighbor invited them?

Did you know only between 2% and 3% are there because of church programs, only 5% to 6% are there because of the pastor, and only 2% to 3% walk in off the street. Let us use our Godgiven blessings to change this trend. Don't forget your church Sunday!
