Services for Mrs. Laverne B. Satterwhite, 82, Tyler, were held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Maurice Barnes officiating.

Burial was in Malakoff City Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Satterwhite died January 27, 2008 in Tyler. She was born January 27, 1926 in Athens.

She was a lifelong resident of the Mabank/Malakoff area, was a Baptist and was a beauty consultant for Fashion 220.

Preceding Mrs. Satterwhite in death were her husband, James "Jim" Satterwhite; parents, Ernest and Ruby Blakeney; brothers, Johnny, Jim and Fritz Blakeney; sisters, Venita Lucas, Mary Killough, and Winnie Wood.

Survivors include daughter, Brenda Abbott and husband Danny of Chandler; brothers, Wayne Blakeney of Dallas, Huey Blakeney of Lott, Tx.; 2 grandchildren, Tammy Lackey and Kerri Fowler; 4 great-grandchildren, Dustin, Colton, and Jessica Lackey, and Sierra Fowler.

Pallbearers were Jeff Lackey, Dustin Lackey, Keith Johnson, Matt Fowler, Jordan Spurger, and Estaban "Stevie" Eachandy.
