The Freshman Bears suffered a slow start mid to late January as the team struggled against Athens and Van.

The first game saw Athens take an early lead and keep it throughout the game. Corbin Duke scored nine points during the Athens game, his first turn at top scorer for the week. Against Van the top scorer was JT Cox with 13.

Van's game was a closer ordeal than Athens, with Brownsboro taking the lead in the first quarter and holding it until the final minutes, where Van pulled ahead just slightly to win with 40. Junior Varsity Bears

Despite scoring high-point games through the week, the Junior Varsity Bears just couldn't overcome the opposition.

Against Athens the Bears fell behind quickly and never caught back up, but still managed to score a respectable 40 points.

Van, with 84 points, decimated the Bears.

Chapel Hill's match was the closest of the three, with only a 12 point difference.

Daniel Myer took top scorer all three games, scoring 16 against Athens, 15 against Van, and 12 during the Chapel Hill game. Varsity Bears

The Varsity Bears began the week with a narrow defeat against Athens, losing by only a handful of points. Keaton Parsell was the top scorer against Athens with 14 points.

The team then went on to play Van on January 22. Despite an excellent performance by Zack Bailey, who scored 20 points during the game, the Bears weren't able to overcome Van and the final score was 41-60 in Van's favor.

The team came back to win against Chapel Hill at 43-37, with Kyle Price accounting for 16 of those points.
