A rough week for the Bears in Chapel Hill and Canton. The Junior High boys took on the teams on January 10 and 17. During the games against Chapel Hill, 7 and 8B lost narrowly both times, while 7 and 8A came out the stronger.

The matches against Canton were less forgiving. The 7B Bears tied the score up at 18 and 18, while the other three Junior High teams suffered defeat.

Thompson came out ahead in 8A's game against Chapel Hill. He scored a fantastic 22 points throughout the game. The team's game against Canton saw Jones take the lead with 14 points.

On the 7A team, Ralson led the charge against Chapel Hill with nine points, while Givens edged out against Canton with seven points, one more than Ralson that game. Ludford in 7B took tops against Canton and Chapel Hill with six and eight, respectively.
