JV Bearettes end season With just one game last week the Junior Varsity Bearettes wrapped up the 2007-08 basketball season on a positive note as they defeated Athens 40-29. Playing in Brownsboro the Bearettes used a strong second half to finish the regular season with a 25-5 overall record and an 8-2 district record. More ... Brownsboro opens up baseball and softball season Bearette softball began play on Monday night while the Bears baseball team will begin the 2008 season next Thursday in Palestine. BJHS Bears conclude basketball season The Brownsboro Junior High Bears played hard these past two Thursdays against Van and Athens. The Athens games on January 31 put the Bears up for some tough game play, but Brownsboro still managed to hold itself up well. The 8A team won one game and the rest came within 3 points of Athens. More ... Subvarsity Bears They started the season out hot but after losing several players to the Varsity team the JV Bears have had a hard time winning games. Brownsboro lost both district games last week dropping their season record to 10- 15 and their district record to 0-9. More ... Baseball clinic open to all ages MVP ON DECK baseball/softball training faculty announces it Premiere Baseball Clinics. These clinics are open to baseball players of all ages and will go from the end of February thru March 15th. The clinics will be taught by MVP's in house staff of Major and Minor league ball players.
