Rebecca Jo Powell

Graveside services for Rebecca Jo Powell, 69, Dike, mother of a Chandler resident, were held Wednesday at the Mahoney Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Robinson officiating under direction of Tapp Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs.

Mrs. Powell died February 3, 2008 at a Tyler hospital.

She was born December 10, 1938, in Hopkins County to the late N.C. and Linnie Massey Sandefur. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dike.

Survivors include her son, Curtis Wyatt, Chandler; sisters, Myra White, Rusk, Grade McLemore, Sulphur Springs, Claudia Carlisle, Tyler, and Beth Price, Dike; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
