JV Bearettes end season

With just one game last week the Junior Varsity Bearettes wrapped up the 2007-08 basketball season on a positive note as they defeated Athens 40-29.

Playing in Brownsboro the Bearettes used a strong second half to finish the regular season with a 25-5 overall record and an 8-2 district record.

Against Athens the ladies from Brownsboro were led in scoring by Montoya Hightower with 12 points. Also scoring in double figures was Chelsea Chambers and Nichole Pickett each with 10 points.Chambers nailed two 3-pointers in the win.
