The hearts of the people at LBC and our surrounding communities were broken last week over the deaths of Shane and Kalee Morgan. Lisa and Emily are recovering at this time and we praise God for placing His healing hand on them. Our prayers are with Lisa and Emily, as well as their extended family, in this time of loss. Our church family is also praying for the Hilltop Baptist Church, where Bro. Shane was the pastor, during this difficult time.

We have several activities planned at LBC. This next Saturday at 9am the Men will host the Ladies at the Men's Breakfast. We encourage all ladies to attend and enjoy the wonderful breakfast prepared by the men. (Just think, they're doing all the work on this one!)

Next Sunday evening will be the Fourth Sunday Singing. Please make plans to attend so that we may lift our voices in song to the Lord. If you have a song to share, please let Bro. Selman know so that he can put you on the list.

Bro. Selman and the choir have begun practice for the Easter Cantata. The choir will be practicing each Sunday evening at 4:30pm. Directly after choir practice is the Prayer Meeting at 5:30pm and church follows the prayer meeting. We encourage all who would like to participate to attend. We welcome all that would like to join in to come on in.

KJ-52 will be performing at the Refuel Teen Center, Thursday, February 21st at 7pm. Tickets are $8 in advance. If you are interested in attending this youth activity, please see Bro. Justin for details. We have a great Youth Department and welcome anyone who would like to join.

Please remember all of those that have lost loved ones these past few weeks and months. It seems that the number grows each day, but we know that God does have a perfect plan for each life. We also need to remember those serving our country in foreign lands, continuing the fight for our freedom.
