Jerry D. Norris

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry D. Norris, age 67, of the Carroll Community were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Bro. Earl Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Garden Valley Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.

Mr. Norris died Sunday, February 17, 2008 in a Tyler hospital. He was born on August 27, 1940 in the Carroll Community to the late William Rucker and Maxine Fay Starr Norris and was a lifelong resident of the Carroll Community. Mr. Norris was self-employed as a farmer and rancher and was a member of the Texas Farm Bureau and a member and trustee of Dover Baptist Church.

Mr. Norris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Norris of Carroll; two sons, Jerry Wayne Norris and Kevin D. Norris, both of Carroll; sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Bob Allen of Carroll; brother and sister-in-law, Donald W. and Helmi Norris of Paradise; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Joe Stricklin, Jim Fielder, Nickey Westberry, Steven Gandy, John English and Mickey Woods. Honorary pallbearers were Klint Norris and Bruce Norris.
