McGill honored with college award

Megan McGill was selected as a recipient of the 2007-2008 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges Award. Unlike others with similar titles, this award is very prestigious and highly prized. Each university is allowed to select only 10-percent of its seniors as Who's Who award recipients. To receive this honor, a student must be nominated by his or her department, complete a lengthy application, and be selected by a committee of faculty members representing his or her college in the university. Selection was based on a combination of factors including scholarship, service, leadership and participation in university activities. To qualify as a Who's Who recipient a student must have been determined, hard working persevering and capable. SWOSU is proud of Megan's efforts and accomplishments.

Megan and other awardees were honored at the Who's Who Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the Fine Arts Center at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Megan is the daughter of Kyle and Jill McGill of Chandler.
