Shane L. Morgan

Funeral services for Shane L. Morgan, 34, of Berryville, were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Frankston with Larry Morgan, Perry Eaton, George Folmar and Thomas McGarity officiating. Burial followed in the Leagueville Cemetery. He passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Cooper Funeral Home of Athens, Texas.

Shane Morgan was born November 1, 1973 in Nashua, New Hampshire to his parents, Larry and Linda Bell Morgan. He moved to Texas at an early age and graduated from Cross Roads High School in 1993. He married Lisa Eberhart on December 5, 1994. He attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Bible Baptist College, East Texas Baptist University and Criswell College. He worked with the youth in several church ministries before becoming the pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church in Berryville.

Shane is survived by his wife, Lisa Morgan of Berryville; daughter, Emily Paige Morgan of Berryville; parents, Larry and Linda Morgan; parents-in-law, Betty Eberhart of Leagueville, and Bill Eberhart of Leagueville; grandmother, Mary Morgan of Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, Kim and Sheila Morgan of Point; sisters and brothers-in-law, Missy and Randall Jennings of Kountze, Lori and Mark Cincar of Athens, Wendy and Rabon Metcalf of College Station, Jamie and Jeremy Rouch of Branson, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers included Kim Morgan, Ron Ivey and deacons of the Hilltop Baptist Church of Berryville, Texas.
