Mary Fowler

Services for Mary Fowler, 73, of Murchison were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel with Bro. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial was at Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mrs. Fowler passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Tyler.

She was born on August 13, 1934 in Murchison to the late Marciano and Josie Hernandez Chavez. She was employed as a seamstress for Levi Strauss and also worked in maintenance at Tyler Junior College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie "Joe" Fowler; brothers, Johnny "Mac" Chavez, William Chavez and Lee Chavez.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Diviney Moore of Tyler; grandchildren, Bridget Gammage and husband Rob of Chico, Justin Diviney and wife Christy of Krum, Christopher Moore of Tyler; great-grandchildren, Carley Gammage, Cayte Gammage, Cortney Gammage of Chico, Juli Diviney and Jaci Diviney of Krum; sister, Gertie Fowler of Murchison; brother, Pete Chavez of Arp; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams; brotherin law, Travis Fowler; special person in her life, Dale Morris; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
