Geraldine Ellis

Services for Geraldine Ellis, 79, Chandler were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Chandler, with Rev. Sam Boyd, Dr. Stan Copeland and Dr. Russ Munch officiating. Burial was in Chandler Memorial Cemetery with services under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Ellis died Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Hospice of East Texas. She was born April 14, 1928, in Chandler. She was employed by Chandler Drug for 25 years and prior to that, she and her late husband, R.V. Ellis, owned and operated the Ox Bow Cafe. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, R.V. Ellis; parents, G.L. `Corbett' and Alice Ellis; sister, Juanita Reagan; and brother George Ellis.

Her survivors include daughters, Ann Ellis Spruiell of Canton and Patti Ellis Marek and husband Larry of Houston; grandchildren, Patrick Spruiell, Elizabeth Spruiell and Michael Spruiell of Austin, Nicole Lancaster Gregory and husband Terry; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Gregory, all of Van; sister, Marita Boyd and other family and friends.
