Ollie Davis

Services for Ollie M. Davis, 84, Brownsboro, formerly of Killeen, were held Tuesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel, Athens, with the Rev. Russell Munch officiating.

Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Athens.

Mrs. Davis died March 1, 2008, in Tyler.

She was born July 20, 1923, in Red Wing, Minn. She served in the Navy during World War II and worked for the American Red Cross for 20 years, the U.S. Census Bureau for 20 years, and was a tax preparer for H&R Block for 25 years. She lived in Killeen for 53 years prior to moving to Brownsboro in January 2008, and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Killeen.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Harry G. Davis, Brownsboro; son, Terry Davis, Columbia, SC; daughters, Evelyn Susan Davis, Dallas, and Grace D. Callaway, Brownsboro; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
