What's Happening

The CBACC will be having their noon luncheons at The Shed in Edom on March 13, and at San Pedro's in Chandler on March 27. Members please try to attend.

Brownsboro High School will present, "Cottonwood Bridge", a drama about the homeless, on Tues., March 25 at 7 PM. The drama is free to the public as the team prepares for competition.

MOPS will meet from 9:30- 11:30 AM at 1st Assembly in Chandler on the following dates: March 25, April 8&22, and May 13. We are out for summer.

Brownsboro Junior High School Cheer Try-Outs will be March 14 at 3:30. Applications are in the office at BJH, Brownsboro Inter., and Chandler Inter.

Eggstravaganza 2008, March 16 at 4 PM at Murchison Baseball Field. This event is hosted by Hope Community Church. There will be an egg hunt, free food, games, puppets, stories, and lots of fun. For more info. call (903)469-3559.

St. Boniface Catholic Church, presents "Jesus the Liberator " March 15 and 16 at 7:30 PM. Located 1/4 mile South of Hwy. 31 on FM 315. Play is FREE for all to see. A community coming together for the cause of one, to bring an outdoor presentation of the passion of Christ.

The WMA Ladies of Opelika Missionary Baptist Church will host their Spring Bake Sale and Bazaar on March 22 starting at 9 AM. There will be all kinds of baked goods as well as crafts. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 10 AM, followed by refreshements. The community is invited to attend!

Edom Community Sunrise Service. Flatwood Assembly of God will be the host for the Annual Edom Community Easter Sunrise Service on March 23rd at 7 AM. Rev. Mike Kirpatrick will be the speaker. Refreshments will be served following the service. Everyone is cordially invited. Flatwood is located between Edom and Ben Wheeler on FM 279. Athens Grief Workshop. Bereaved persons meet in small confidential group for 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 2-3:30 PM starting March5-April 9. The group is led by a trained facilitator whose focus is on education about the normal grief process. 702 S. Palestine, Suite D, Athens. The Quilter's Guild of East Texas will have their monthly meeting on Thurs., March 13. The Social will be at 9:30 AM followed by the 10 AM meeting. There will also be an evening meeting at 7 PM. The local quilt shops will preview new products and the final preparations for the upcoming quilt show will be made. There will be a show and share and guests are welcome at each meeting.
