Locations selected for sheriff run-off election

The final elections for the Republican sheriff nominee is about to begin. Frontrunner Ray Nutt and runner up A.W. "Tony" Allison will go at it one last time before Democratic sheriff nominee Bill Casey's opponent is decided.

Early voting will begin on March 31 and continue to April 4.

The locations for early voting are as follows.

- Courthouse Basement, 100 E. Tyler, Athens: 8 am - 5 pm

- Seven Points City Hall, 428 E. Cedar Creek Parkway: 8-11:30 am, 12:30-4:30 pm

- Chandler substation, 460 S. Broad Street: 8-11:30 am, 12:30-4:30 pm.

On the April 8 election day all the polling places will be open from 7 am - 7 pm.

The election day polling locations are as follows.

1M - Malakoff City Hall, 1009 S. Melton

2PS - Payne Springs Community Center, 9692 Highway 198, by the fire station

3B - Brownsboro Community Center, Brownsboro City Hall

4 - Cain Center in Athens, 915 S. Palestine

In addition, several spots were chosen for consolidated polling places for the election.

1MN - Caney City Hall

1C - Crescent Heights Methodist Church

1T - Trinidad Community Center 1A - Seven Points City Hall 2 - United Pentecostal Church 2E - Eustace School 2GBN - Brawner Hall

2GBS - St. Peter Lutheran Church 3 - Henderson County Justice Center

3C - Chandler Community Center

3N - Bethel Christian Church

3WS - Westside Volunteer Fire Department

3M - Murchison School

4A - Athens School Administration Building

4CC - Coffee City Hall/Fire Department

4MS - Moore Station Community Center

4NY - New York Baptist Church

4F - Fincastle Community Church

4BV - Berryville Civic Center

4W - Shady Oaks Fire Station

4LR - LaRue Community Center

4P - Poynor City Hall

4LA - Lake Athens Baptist Church

4S - New Abundant Harvest Church
