Lions Den Chandler
Thank You, Area Citizens!

The Lions Club members wish to thank each and every one who attended the First Annual Spaghetti Supper on March 18 and made it a great success. These funds are designated for local youth programs. The Annual Sight II Drive held on Saturday, March 22, was a wonderful response to our efforts to help cure blindness around the world.

We have more than forty Lions, men and women who truly care and work very hard to uphold our creed: WE SERVE. This column will occasionally offer an interview with members and Larry Shanks is the first you will meet. Larry has been an active Lion during the past twenty years and has held numerous Board positions; he has been a Chandler Lion for the past six years, currently serving on the Board as immediate past president.

Larry is a LION because:

Lions are an international organization serving needs around the world

Knows of hundreds helped in many ways

Involvement fills a personal need to provide community service

Finds companionship and friendship for personal fulfillment

Believes in Lion goals and makes personal sacrifices ... just like religious beliefs!

We continue to seek new members, and recently welcomed Tom Bradbeer, Nancy Martin, and LC and Mae Foster into the Chandler Lions Club.

Can we meet your needs for serving? Of course we can! Come to a meeting and discover all the projects we sponsor, get involved by becoming a Lion, and make our organization a better community-oriented service group!

For further information, contact a Lion by calling 903- 849-6355 Today!

Regular meetings: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 6:30 pm at Chandler Community Center. We eat very well!
