Coaches' softball game approaches

Edom's annual softball match pitting the Brownsboro coaches against the Van coaches is slated for Saturday, April 19.

This event is a key fundraiser for the Edom Community Scholarship Fund, which annually makes available one or more scholarships to qualifying seniors. Last year's championship team was from Brownsboro ISD. Will it be the Brownsboro coaches again taking home the "Battle of the Kickapoo" traveling trophy, or will the formidable force from Van prevail in 2008?

Plan to be on hand at the Edom Community Center to cheer on your team. The homerun derby begins at 9:00 a.m., with the grudge-match scheduled for 10:00 a.m. For further details, contact Lance Wallace at 903-852-6290.
