Nancy Veasey McCowan

Services for Nancy Veasey McCowan, 57, Dallas, formerly of Brownsboro, were held Friday at The Potter's House, Dallas, with the Rev. Bobby Whitehead officiating.

Burial was in Brownsboro Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.

Mrs. McCowan died March 23, 2008, in Dallas.

She was born Sept. 23, 1951, in Smith County and graduated from Brownsboro High School. She lived in Dallas for more than 30 years and worked in patient care and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include stepfather, Eddie McCuin, Dallas; brothers, Kenneth Veasey, Ben Wheeler, Donnie McCuin, Joe McCuin and Ralph McCuin, all of Dallas; and sisters, Sharon Hutchins, Aletha Carter and Vickie McCullar, all of Dallas, and Bernita Lewis, Houston.
