Ernest Gordon Calvet

Services for Ernest Gordon Calvet, 75, Brownsboro, were held Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Brownsboro, with the Rev. Jon Parker officiating under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial was in Jennings Mountain Cemetery, Brownsboro.

Mr. Calvet died March 25, 2008, in Brownsboro.

He was born Sept. 11, 1932, in Natchitoches Parish, La. to the late Tom and Arbelle Slaughter Calvet. He served in the Air Force and retired from Sears after 26 years service.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, T.H. Calvet; and a sister, Frances Aldridge

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Auweta Fay Parker Calvet, Brownsboro; daughter and son-in-law Debra Kay and Bruce Lightfoot, Brownsboro, and Angela Dianne and Freddie Wehrmann, Brownsboro; brother, Tereal Calvet, Alexandria, La.; sister, Margaret Patterson, Creston, La.; four grandchildren, Lee Wehrmann, Tim Lightfoot, Alisha Pino and Jeremy Lightfoot; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lee Wehrmann, Tim Lightfoot, Jeremy Lightfoot, Carmen Pino, Junior Cheatham, and Lloyd Starr. Honorary pallbearer was Ronnie Aldridge
