Leagueville Baptist Sunday was another great day at Leagueville Baptist Church. Bro. Tom brought powerful messages to us, as his usual custom. It is such a blessing to know that we will be fed from the Word each and every service. God's Word always helps to get us through each week. Everyone is anticipating our trip to see the Third Day concert and Rangers game this next Saturday, April 12th. The bus will be leaving the church at 2pm. Angie Parker has the tickets and you may pay for them and pick them up at your earliest convenience. Bro. John Carlisle, missionary to Australia, will be speaking to us on April 13th during the evening service. It is always very interesting to learn about the places that God is sending our missionaries. We invite you to attend and hear what he is doing in Australia. Our monthly Women's Bible Study will be held on Monday, April 14th at 6pm. They will meet in the Women's Center. We want to send out a special invitation to all the women in our church and community to attend. Gloria Hosch leads this study and will always welcome new people. We would like to encourage you to attend. This study is very beneficial and does not take lots of time from our families. Our Good Timers group will be making a trip to Cherokee Trace in Jacksonville on Saturday, April 19th. They will be driving through to look at the wild animals. The cost is $10 per person and you will need to bring your own sack lunch and drink. They will be leaving the church at 8:30am. Please see Candy Schaub for more details. There are so many people on the prayer list this week, and we hope that you will take the time to pray for each one daily. We are so glad that Amos Simmons is recovering from surgery. We would ask you to pray for Morris and Alowa Low this week as they each have surgery scheduled. Morris' will be on Tuesday and Alowa's will be on Friday. Please remember them this week. We would like to invite you to visit and see what LBC has to offer. We have Children's Church for little ones ages 3 - 3rd grade on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. The children love the puppets that are used to teach the lessons each week! We also have a church nursery for infants through age three. We have a great youth group that is growing weekly. The youth group meets during the Sunday School hour on Sundays and then on Wednesday evening during the 7pm service time. We invite you to call the church at 903.852.7521 if you have any questions. We want to wish a happy birthday to Kelle Savis, Amos Simmons, Luke Edwards, Zachary Luker and Jill Bragdon. We wish a happy anniversary to Tom and Nancy Wood, and Michael and Kerry Nobles. We hope that you have a great week this week! |
