What's Happening The 8th grade Final Curtain Players of Brownsboro ISD are in rehearsal for two different plays. There will be a public performance Tuesday, April 15 at about 6:30 pm. The first is a play about the homeless, Cottonwood Bridge, and is about 40 minutes, and the second is a comedy adapted from Canterbury Tales: Women of Bath. Plays located in the Final Curtain Players theater behind the football Scoreboard. The April CBACC Noon Luncheons will be April 10 at El Presidente in Brownsboro and the 24th at Presley's in Chandler. Keep Chandler Beautiful will hold a Fish Fry Sunday, April 13, at the Chandler Community Center from 11:30 to 2. Crispy fried fish, french fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, drinks and desserts will be offered. Price of the dinners are by donations, to go dinners available. Proceeds will go towards purchasing additioal banners to go along Highway 31 and 315, everyone invited. AARP Chapter 1152 of Athens sponsors senior health fair Saturday, April 26 from 9 am to 11 pm at the First United Methodist Church (Activities building) located at 225 Lover's Lane, Athen. Calvalry Baptist will hold a prayer breakfast on the second Saturday of each month with Pastor John Parker. Good food and fellowship, come 8 am, April 12. Bread of Life Distribution Food Bank on the third Saturday of each month. 8 am - 12 pm. Any volunteers would be accepted and appreciated. Calvalry Baptist hosts this food bank for public awareness. Brownsboro Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry to happen Saturday, April 12 from 11 am to 2 pm at Faith Baptist Church on Highway 31 in Brownsboro. Adults are $8, kids are $5. Additional donations are appreciated, and donations of pies, cakes or cookies will be a great help for this springtime favorite. AARP Mature driving class to be held at the Chandler Community Center on April 17 and 18th from 1:00 to 5:00. Call Don Thomas at 903-849-2208 for reservations. Cost $10 per person. Women's Conference, `Faith Through The Generations', April 26th from 8am-3pm will be hosted by Rock Hill Baptist Church. Speakers: Patricia Mallory, Janet Berry and Sandra Weakley. Lunch provided.
