Rosa Cade, 97, passes away

Services for Rosa O. Cade, 97, Chandler, were held at 4:00 Wednesday, April 9, at Chandler First United Methodist Church with Dr. Russ Munch and the Revs. Richard Prather and Jim Griffin officiating.

Burial was in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Cade passed away April 5, 2008 in Tyler.

She was born August 6, 1910, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to the late William Burton and Rose Ellen Carter Oglesby. She operated East Tyler Beauty Shop in Tyler for more than 30 years and was co-owner of Cade's Cove Campground and co-operator of a Texaco station in Chandler. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a part of the "Saints Alive" singing group in the 1980s.

Precedinig her in death were her husband, Jack Cade, and daughter, Patricia Rose.

Survivors include daughter, Juanita Marie Price; son, Kenneth Cade; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
