Several BHS athletes advance to regionals

Mother Nature held back the rain long enough last Thursday and Friday to allow the athletes of District 14-3A to show off their skills in track and field events.

Abigail Hernandez and Collin Wilson each brought home the gold as they captured first place in track events. Hernandez captured first in the 3200- meter run with a time of 13:15.

Wilson earned the right to be called the fastest player in district as he claimed first in the 200-Meter Dash with a time of 22.96. Both will now advance to the Regional Track Meet to be held April 25 and 26 at TAMU Commerce.

Karla Robles also advances to the Regional Meet after finishing the Long Jump in second place. She also finished second in the 400-Meter Dash.

The boys 400-Meter Relay team finished in third place to qualify for regionals.

Results from the track meet are listed below. All first place finishers are listed as well as Brownsboro athletes who finished in the top six.
