Lots of eating went on at the church on Sunday. It was the normal second Sunday fellowship meal after church and then, the new Bible study taught by Rev. Prather had quite a lot of food when it met at 5:30 PM at the church. It was all good.

We want to thank music leader, Gail Johnston for bringing her friend and fellow singer to church to make a little duet. They were accompanied by Judy Pope who was kindly filling in for Carla Fisher at the piano. Carla and Bob are out of town this weekend.

It was good to know that Gail Massey didn't suffer too many severe consequences from her fall the other day. She was badly bruised for awhile but has managed to heal very well.

Kaethe Griffin is very excited. She is planning a trip to Germany this summer with her granddaughter from Oklahoma. They will be visiting Kaethe's family over there.

Also, Donna Franko is planning a visit to Florida next week, so she and Rich can't use their allotted time at their condo on Padre Island. That's when church members, Herb Botts, Dorothy Botts, Linda and Bernard Massey and Ken Cade decided to go in their place. It should be a lot of fun.

Our prayers are with Shawn Decker right now in Iraq. He has taken on some new and very stressful responsibilities.

Rev. Richard and Rebecca Prather traveled to Houston this past weekend to attend a ball game and visit family and to belatedly celebrate Rebecca's birthday.

Herb Botts attended a Transforming Church meeting this past week.

The Methodist Men had a very successful work day at the church last Saturday, and they had a good breakfast to get them started, but a lot of them were pretty sore the next day. They did a lot of work though, for which we are very grateful.

Mary Ann and Dale Whisenhunt have just finished taking the orders for the April Angel Food boxes, so now it is time to start thinking about ordering one for May. They are a great deal, especially with the cost of everything going up.
